Service Description

Through this service, a permit is issued to export a consignment of local aquatic products out of the UAE. This includes local wild fish, fish produced in aquaculture farms in the UAE, crustaceans, molluscs, and other aquatic organisms. (Valid for 1 month from the permit issuance date)

Required Documents

  • Packing declaration which lists the type and quantity of aquatic organisms’ products intended for export

For air and marine shipments, the following document is required:

  • Packaging certificate issued from a fish processing factory which lists the consignment information such as aquatic products type and quantity

Terms and Conditions

  1. The establishment must have a license to practice an activity related to the aquatic life sector that includes the activity: exporting local aquatic life products.
  2. The export of all sharks and rays is prohibited throughout the year.
  3. The export of the following species (Carangoides bajad, Gnathonodon speciosus, Rhabdosargus sarba, Digramma pictum, Siganus canaliculatus, Gerres longirostris, Scomberoides commersonnianus) is prohibited throughout the year.
  4. The export of shark fins is prohibited.
  5. Aquaculture farms are permitted to export their products  from the same farms throughout the year after having a license to practice an activity related to the aquatic life sector which includes the activity of exporting local aquatic life products.
