Service Description

To examine palm seedlings or plants consignment not included in Cites Agreement, after being examined by the concerned agricultural quarantine engineer in entrance outlet to assure that the consignment is conformed to the conditions and specifications applicable in the provisions of the Agricultural Quarantine

  • Bill of lading or statement of incoming goods, or delivery note if the customer is a government authority or Private Sector.
  • List of contents or invoice.
  • Prior license of import, issued from the Ministry, valid (not required for the agricultural products).
  • Phytosanitary Certificate    issued from the concerned authority in the export country.
  • Certificate of origin, and so if the client is a governmental or private sector.
  • Certificate of origin, if the customer is a government authority or Private Sector .• required when importing fruits or seedlings or any parts of the plant tomatoes , eggplant , potatoes, peppers , beans and some herbs family Solanaceae or any other host plants of other countries that recorded the injuries insect dead tomato leaves , as shown in the table below , to be accompanied by a health certificate stating they are free from all stages of the insect dead tomato leaves (Tuta absoluta).

Terms and Conditions
  • It is prohibited to import any items not stated in import license.
  • It is prohibited to import the natural breeding accompanying the plants.
  • All types of plants shall be free from blights, plant diseases and thematoda.
  • It is necessary to attach certificate of results of artificial breeding on importing plants under the International Trade Agreement in land plant and animal types that are subject to extinction (Cites).
  • Plants packages shall not be from plant origin.
  • It is prohibited to import palm and its seedlings from the countries that are registered to have injuries of fatal yellowness disease and ova.
  • It is prohibited to import trees of coconut, ornamentation palm and their products from the countries that are registered to have injuries of red palm mites.
  • It is allowed to import the textile types with diameter no exceeding 5cm for all types of palms and semi-palms.
  • It is prohibited to import the seedlings of citrus from the countries that are registered to have injuries of magic sweeper disease.
  • It is prohibited to import seedlings of citrus from Iran Islamic Republic.
  • It is prohibited the importation of seedlings of tomatoes, eggplant, potatoes, peppers, beans and some herbs of Solanaceae family or any other plant families for the purpose of vegetative reproduction from countries which recorded Tuta absoluta (tomato leaf miner table below , to be accompanied by apyatos health certificate stating they are free from all stages of the insect dead tomato leaves (Tuta absoluta).
  • Prohibits the import of  Conocarpus  lancifolius (Damas) or  Conocarpus  erectus (button mangrove)  seedlings, seeds, stem cuttings from all countries.
