Agritourism

The UAE has a thriving agricultural landscape that is continuously developing and innovating. We at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment see significant value in educating the community about the work of the country’s farms.

Therefore, we have launched the UAE Agritourism Program that involves opening local farms to the public for guided visits. The program allows nature lovers to experience conventional and modern agricultural practices at animal and crop farms firsthand, and aims to increase the demand for locally grown produce. In addition to escaping from the hustle and bustle of city life to unwind in the lap of nature and enjoy a wide range of outdoor recreational activities, residents and visitors can purchase high-quality farm-fresh food products at reasonable prices.

In the first phase, we have chosen a selection of farms that provide a unique agritourism experience, however, we hope that eventually, most farms in the UAE introduce an open-door policy.
