Import of animal feed and fodder

To obtain import permission:

1. Fill out the electronic form
2. E - Payment
3. Issuing the import Permit electronically

To release the consignment:

1. Fill out the electronic form
2. E - Payment
3. Review the application and complete the procedures electronically
4. Clinical examination and laboratory tests (if required)
5. Issuing the release Permit electronically

Import:

• No documents required

Release:

• Certificate of origin approved and issued by the competent authority
• A customs declaration or bill of lading indicating the consignment data
• Purchase bill
• certificate of analysis for each batch
•  In the case of unprocessed aquatic food / animals feed not included in the food chain the consignment shall be accompanied with a veterinary health certificate instead of certificate of analysis

To import manufactured animal feed

1. The establishment must have a license to practice an animal activity that contains the activity of importing and exporting animal feed - manufactured animal feed veterinary establish license – commercial animal production farm or veterinary drug store license issued by the Emirates Drug Authority containing the activity of a veterinary pharmaceutical warehouse
2. The product to be imported must be approved by the Ministry for the company

To import pet animal food:

1. The establishment must have a license to practice an animal activity that contains the activity of importing and exporting animal feed - pet animal food, or a Licensing of veterinary products facilities  that contains the activity of a veterinary drug store.

To import animal food that is not included in the food chain:

1. The establishment must have a license to practice an animal activity that contains the activity of a zoo, an aquarium, a falcon breeding center, a deer and wildlife breeding center, an ostrich breeding center, a pet breeding center, a center for the care and shelter of dangerous animals, or the import and export of animal feed.
2. The product to be imported must be approved by the Ministry

For the import of processed aquatic food:

1. The establishment must have a license to practice an animal activity that contains the activity of importing and exporting animal feed - processed aquaculture foods or a license to establish an aquaculture production farm.
2. The product to be imported must be approved by the Ministry

For importing unprocessed aquatic food:

1. The establishment must have a license to practice an animal activity that contains the activity of importing and exporting animal feed - unprocessed aquatic food.
2. The product to be imported must be approved by the Ministry
