Renew accreditation for a slaughterhouse outside the UAE

About the Service

Through this service, the accreditation of a slaughterhouses outside UAE are renewed for slaughtering animals and poultry includes meat shredding and storage facilities in order to allow the export of animal meat and poultry meat slaughtered to UAE (valid for one year starting from the renewal date)

Service Process

To apply for a service over any of the service channels, you should register in the digital services system للتقديم على طلب عبر أي من قنوات تقديم الخدمة، يتطلب تسجيل حساب في نظام الخدمات الرقمية From here(من هنا)
  1. 1. Proactively create the application through the electronic system and send it to the customer one month before the license expires

  2. 2. Evaluating the application and complete the procedures electronically

  3. 3. Renewal of the slaughterhouse accreditation electronically

Required Documents

  1. Certificate of registration / license of the slaughterhouse issued by the relevant veterinary and / or food control authorities in the country of origin
  2. Valid Certificate of application of food safety management system & quality management system Internationally recognized issued by:
    1. The relevant authorities in the country of origin. or;
    2. A certification body having a legal office in the same country of origin of the slaughterhouse and approved by the relevant authorities in the country of origin to run their conformity assessments & certification activities. or;
    3. A certification body having a legal office in the same country of origin of the slaughterhouse & this office, in particular, is accredited by an accreditation body in the same country of origin that is internationally recognized & has a full membership in the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) & provided that the scope of accreditation covers FSMS & QMS that is/are specified in the certificate issued to the slaughterhouse. or;
    4. A certification body having a legal office in the same country of origin of the slaughterhouse & this office, in particular, is accredited by an accreditation body in UAE that is internationally recognized & has a full membership in the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) & provided that the scope of accreditation covers FSMS & QMS that is/are specified in the certificate issued to the slaughterhouse. or;
    5. A certification body having a legal office in the same country of origin of the slaughterhouse & this office, in particular, is accredited by an accreditation body that is internationally recognized & has a full membership in the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) with the following conditions:
  3. provided that the scope of accreditation covers FSMS & QMS that is/are specified in the certificate issued to the slaughterhouse.
  4. The certification body is listed in the IAF website

3. Valid certificate of accreditation for certification body in case of 2 (b), 2 (c), 2 (d) or 2 (e)

Conditions & Requirements

  1. No violation of any requirements has been recorded by the slaughterhouse
  2. Ministry has the right to carry out a visit at any time it specifies to ensure that the slaughterhouse remains committed to technical and hygienic requirements
  3. The slaughterhouse continues to comply with the updated sanitary conditions, technical regulations and standard specifications on which it was accredited
