Change a fishing method

About the Service

This service allows fishers to change their fishing methods/gears in accordance with the relevant legislations. A boat license will be issued with the same validity of the previous boat license and captain card

Service Process

  1. Fill-out the electronic form

  2. Review the application and complete the procedures electronically

  3. Issue the boat license

Conditions & Requirements

  1. Fishers are not permitted to combine Gargoors and Nets if they own more than one fishing boat
  2. Fishers are permitted to change their fishing method from nets to traps, and from traps to nets, on the condition that they adhere to the new classification for tow years from the date of change.
  3. Any stricter requirements issued by the local authority on the classifications shall be taken into consideration.
  4. Fishing boat license must be valid.
  5. The previous fishing boat license, (the vice-captain card if applicable) should be submitted.
