Renewal of the approval of animal feed and food for import

1. Proactively create the application through the electronic system and send it to the customer one month before the license expires.

2. E- Payment, in case submitting an application for renewal approval (manufactured animal feed) only

3. Review the application and complete the procedures electronically

4. Approval in the list of materials allowed to be imported by the country

Requirements for renewal approval of  processed animal feed

1. Free sale Certificate or equivalent issue from the competent authorities in the country of origin
2. A copy of label of the product issued by manufacturer meet all of the following data:

-      The trade name of the product.

-      Ingredients and quantities of the product.

-      Target animal SPP.

-      Name and address of the manufacturer.

-      Storage conditions.

-      Indication.

-      Contraindications, warnings and precautions (if any).

-      Batch number, production date and expiry date.

-      Veterinary use only or for animal use only

-      In the case of feed mention” manufactured animal feed

-      Weight or net size

3.Certificate of analysis of the product from the manufacturer

First: It is allowed for Licensed establishments to apply for accreditation according to the following:

-  For those who have obtained the following licenses: (Practicing an animal activity for importing and exporting animal feed or a license for veterinary preparation facilities issued by the Emirates Drug Authority that includes the activity of a veterinary pharmaceutical warehouse or a license for a veterinary facility – commercial animal production farms (

Second: The authorized agent must renew the approval of the following materials: manufactured animal feed, every five years.

Thirdly: If the product is intended for horses, the certificate of analysis must be issued by an accredited laboratory in the UAE.
