Service Description

Issue Local Fish Export permit for the local fishermen & Fishermen Cooperative Societies and fish farms for export of local fish, valid for 6 months starting from 1st November to 30th April for the local fish and valid throughout the year for farmed products.

Required Documents
  • Original invoice of fish to be exported.
  • Card of exporter of local fish, valid.
  • Certificate of packaging, issued from a factory to prepare the fish products, duly licensed and approved by the Ministry, showing details of consignment of the exported fish, such as type and quantity of fish.
  • License of export of local fish, issued from the Ministry, valid.
  • Copy of license of farm, valid and issued from the Ministry (for the aquaculture farms).
Terms and Conditions
  • Exporter shall be a fisherman holding a local fish export card, or the aquaculture farm shall be licensed by the Ministry.
  • Fish shall be allowed to be exported.
  • Exported fish shall be local ones, or fished in fishing waters, or from those cultivated in the aquaculture farms of the Country.
  • To attach the packing certificate issued from the factory of preparation and packing of fish products, showing all consignment details.
