Integrated Management System Policy

The Ministry of Climate Change & Environment has developed this policy to represent its commitment to strategic directions, the best management practices and to enhance the focus on both principles "Client Focus" and "Government efficiency", The Ministry of Climate Change & Environment shall implement the following principles and guidelines according the strategic Plan and issues related to IMS: 

  1. Commitment to implement quality management systems, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems, and the management system of customer code of conduct and customer complaint handling systems, according to the standards of ISO 9001, ISO 14001,ISO 45001, ISO 10001 and ISO 10002, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these systems.
  2. Adoption of objectives and targets that would improve the quality management, environment, occupational health and safety, systems, customer code of conduct and customer complaint handling systems to ensure consistent achievement of such objectives, as well as measuring, monitoring, and improvement of systems performance.
  3. Providing the required resources to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the management systems applied, as well as the involvement and training of employees to achieve these systems objectives
  4. Commitment to all legal and legislative requirements relevant to quality management, environment, occupational health and safety, customer code of conduct and customer complaint handling systems.
  5. Prevention of environmental pollution, work-related injuries and diseases, reducing health and safety risks and the environmental effects associated with the ministry activities and services.
  6. Acting responsibly regarding all the issues related to customer feedback where applicable, through identified channels and ensuring that such remarks have been resolved efficiently and effectively within specific time in a quick manner through powerful analysis system that is characterized by: ease of access, speed, secrecy and reliability of the information provided, identified, simple, impartial, effective; which is observed and monitored periodically.
  7. Ensure the Ministry's ability to continue its vital activities during emergencies, crises and disasters, or because of a sudden interruption or interruption of business and a reduction in the period of interruption of vital activities to the acceptable level of performance by setting and implementing Business continuity management policy & program and ensuring having and implementing contingency and disaster recovery plans.
  8. Commitment to provide a work environment that stimulates creativity and innovation by providing the resources, systems and tools necessary for implement innovation, caring of talented people and encouraging employees to experience the innovations and build an effective network with universities, scientific research centers and stakeholders in the public and private sectors to implement innovative projects and ensure intellectual property protection of applicable creative ideas.
  9. Committed to excellent professional testing or calibration services, as and where applicable, which meet the needs of customers, and statutory, regulatory and ISO/IEC 17025:2005 requirements, to continually improve the effectiveness of the management system. & Ensure all personnel involved in testing or calibration services are familiar with the laboratory management system documentation and implement its policies and procedures at all times.
  10. Publicizing and communicating this policy to all partners involved in its activities and services and creating opportunities regularly to provide their suggestions about this policy.
  11. This policy would be annually reviewed to ensure its suitability and effectiveness.
