In accordance with the directives of the wise leadership in the UAE to instill the culture of science and knowledge, and implementing the Cabinet’s decision to designate March of each year as the month of reading, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment organized the Reading Forum, which saw the participation of a number of MOCCAE employees on March 29, 2017 at the Public Library, Rashidiya Branch.
This cultural forum included three activities:
- Reading marathon contest: Read a book and summarize it to enter a draw to win an ipad.
- Your reading experience: Bring your book and share your reading experience with us in an open dialogue.
- Book donation campaign: Have you experienced the feeling that you are able to give a ticket to an inmate to open up to the world through reading?
Join us by donating your used books to prison inmates under the slogan:
(Your old book, an inmate’s new life)
A total of 250 books have been collected and donated to the penal institution of the Dubai Police.
