    Customer Council 2022

    About:

    As part of its strategy to enhance food diversity, ensure its sustainability and biological diversity, and preserve the sustainability of fishing, agriculture, animal husbandry, and animal husbandry, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment organized forums and councils with customers, including fishermen, farmers, and animal breeders in the country.

     

    It aims to:

    listen to a detailed explanation from customers about the most important challenges faced by citizens of the country working in the aforementioned trades, and to discuss with them the best ways and mechanisms to overcome these challenges in order to ensure environmental sustainability.

     

    Process:

    23 forums were organized for all customers throughout the year 2022 with the aim of clarifying the new procedures and fees, in addition to introductory presentations of the re-engineered services in attendance with the participation of 512 customers.

     




    Outcome

    -        The procedures required to complete the transactions have been clarified

    -        The reasons for choosing the completion period for the transactions were clarified

    -        The reasons for choosing the fees paid for the transactions are explained

    -        Clarifying the possibility of the Ministry's system to notify customers of the stages of the request that they applied for or completed

    National Dialogue for Food Security 2023

    About:

    The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment launched the National Dialogue for Food Security (NDFS) as part of its strategy to develop agribusiness and responsible investment in agriculture and sustainable food systems. It is one of the main objectives of promoting research and development programs and adopting advanced technology to enhance food, water and environmental security.

     

    It aims to:

    discuss the various challenges and issues that contribute to enhancing the food security of the UAE.

     

    Process:

    It depends on managing constructive dialogue and discussion between the various actors and partners in the country from both the government and private sectors

    In the form of a monthly meeting to ensure the application of the participatory design method.

     

    Expected Outcomes:

    A number of initiatives and campaigns will be launched aimed at making citizens' farms a major supplier of many agricultural crops and food products to major food supply companies operating in the UAE.

    National Dialogue for Climate Ambition 2023

    About:

    As part of its strategic directions to enhance the participation of all sectors in achieving the UAE's goals towards achieving climate neutrality by 2050, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment has completed the "National Dialogue on Climate Ambition" initiative for the year 2023.

     

    It aims to:

    exchanging experiences and the best effective ways to achieve climate neutrality 2050 between companies and local authorities and unite national efforts.

     

    Process:

    The initiative, which will continue its activities on an ongoing basis during the year 2023, depends on holding a monthly meeting, during which the needs, requirements and priorities of several sectors in the country are discussed separately.

     

    Expected Outcomes:

    A number of initiatives and campaigns will be launched that aim to raise climate ambitions, in order to support the UAE's endeavors towards achieving climate neutrality by 2050

    Customer Council: Focus Groups with Fishermen to Discuss Marine Life Opportunities

    About:

    The fishing craft is one of the most important pillars of national food security, and fishermen play a prominent role in promoting this craft. The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment held a council of fishermen's associations, where fishing activity is an important pillar to enhance the UAE's efforts to achieve sustainability, especially in light of the UAE's declaration of 2023 as the Year of Sustainability.

     

    It aims to:

    Learn about the challenges and opportunities to improve fishing activity in the country in order to ensure the promotion of food security sustainability.

     

    Process:

    During a meeting with Her Excellency the Minister, several issues of importance to fishermen were reviewed.



    Outcome

    The outcomes of the consultation were as follows: Firstly, it was decided to focus on holding periodic meetings with fishermen. This initiative aimed to foster open communication and collaboration between the Ministry and the fishermen, with the goal of finding sustainable solutions to the various challenges they encounter in their profession.


    Secondly, the Ministry expressed its willingness to actively engage with the fishermen, demonstrating a commitment to work together in order to address the challenges they face. This collaborative approach aimed to create an environment where the concerns and perspectives of the fishermen were taken into account when formulating policies and making decisions.


    Lastly, one of the fishermen was honored for his significant contribution to environmental conservation. Specifically, he played a crucial role in releasing a whale shark back into the sea, which had a tangible positive impact on the environment. This act not only showcased the fisherman's awareness of environmental issues but also highlighted the importance of promoting sustainable practices within the fishing community.


    Overall, the outcomes of the consultation emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogue, collaboration, and recognition of individuals' efforts in achieving sustainable solutions and raising environmental awareness within the fishing industry.

    Public Consultation to Measure Satisfaction, Awareness & Confidence of MoCCAE Digital Services

    Overview:

    The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment has taken a step aimed at continuing its strategy to ensure that all services are provided in accordance with standards of quality, efficiency and transparency, which contributes to flexibility and continuity of services.


    Objective:

     The campaign aims to obtain customer inputs regarding the services provided and improve the services based on the inputs and feedback received 

     

    Process:

    Through a questionnaire measuring satisfaction, awareness and confidence about the use of digital services 2022, where 1189 responses were collected




    Outcome


    The Ministry has redesigned and engineered the digital services based on the customer's journey and experience by designing the services based on their journey and experience in order to simplify them, shorten their steps and digitize their documents with the nature of the services provided to them, their requirements and expectations to facilitate, accelerate and enhance the level of service, and the challenges they face when using them in addition to their suggestions for the development of services and from Through integration with strategic partners, to ensure an increase in the level of customer satisfaction and happiness.
